If you search for "definition of bareback", you're most likely to get something related to horses (and no, not like that)... so it's time to reclaim the word from those damn straight cowboys.
Almost nobody uses the term "bareback" to mean "riding a horse without a saddle". Even I found out about the sexual definition first and then figured out it had originally meant something else.
Definition of bareback: act of usually anal, but vaginal as well, penetration without protection. The term refers mostly to gay sex, but happens very often with straight sex as well (after all, how do you explain all those teen pregnancies?). It is incredibly risky as both partners are susceptible to all kinds of STDs: risks are minimized in a completely monogamous relationship.
